Správa železnic launches first map portal for high-speed line Praha – Dresden

Správa železnic presents a new map portal GIS Podřipsko, which will enable the public to actively participate in the planning of the high-speed line connecting Prague with Dresden in Germany, specifically in the section between the Czech capital and Lovosice.

The online map portal allows anyone to view the planned route of the high-speed line (HSL) through various map layers such as zoning plans, cadastral maps, or floodplains. A key element of this digital tool is the opportunity for the public to be actively involved in the planning process. Anyone can send questions, suggestions and comments to the map, which will be professionally assessed and taken into account in the preparation of documentation for the environmental impact assessment (EIA) process. Comments can cover a wide range of topics, from impacts on the surrounding landscape to local needs, such as wildlife migration routes or planned pathways.

The Podřipsko map portal is the seventh in a row launched by Správa železnic as part of an active dialogue with the public on the planned HSL. The receipt of comments closes on 30 September 2024, but the portal will remain open to the public after that date. More information can be found on the website: vrtky.cz/ovlivnete-vrt.
